GI Nurse Practitioner- Evening Hours (Remote)
About the role
Role Overview
As a GI Expert Nurse Practitioner at Oshi Health, you'll deliver high-quality, virtual-first gastrointestinal care to adults with complex digestive conditions through our telemedicine platform. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with dietitians, and behavioral health specialists to provide coordinated, whole-person care that helps patients achieve lasting digestive health improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual patient care in alignment with Oshi's evidence-based care model, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for GI conditions with a focus on DGBIs, GERD, and IBD via video visits and chat messaging
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and care coordinators) to implement coordinated, comprehensive care plans
- Adhere to clinical protocols including ROME IV criteria and AGA and ACG guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care delivery
- Document patient interactions accurately and timely within the EHR, maintaining thorough and compliant records
- Allocate approximately 30 hours per week to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
- This is not a traditional 9-5 role — scheduling includes a mix of early morning, evening, and weekend hours to meet patient access needs. Flexibility and willingness to work outside standard business hours is essential
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training to stay current in the field of gastrointestinal care
- Pursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain good standing with all relevant licenses and certifications
