About the role
As a Product team member at System, you will:
- Define and drive the product vision in close partnership with engineering, data, and research teams
- Translate complex systems problems into elegant, human-centered experiences
- Conduct user research to understand the needs, mental models, and workflows of systems thinkers
- Own the product roadmap and prioritize with clarity, purpose, and data
- Collaborate across functions to ship meaningful, high-quality product experiences
- Contribute to a culture of curiosity, craft, and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of experience in product management, product design, or a related discipline
- A track record of shipping products in agile, fast-moving environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills
- Experience working in or adjacent to data-heavy or technically complex products
- An ability to hold both user empathy and systems-level thinking at the same time
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward clarity
Bonus if you have:
- Experience designing or managing products in healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise data platforms
- Experience conducting qualitative research with technical or clinical users
- Background in or exposure to systems thinking frameworks
You might be a fit if you:
- Think in systems — mapping feedback loops, interdependencies, and second-order effects comes naturally to you
- Are motivated by purpose-driven work, particularly at the intersection of technology and healthcare
- Believe technology should be a force for good and are drawn to the Public Benefit Corporation model
- Hold yourself and your work to a values-first standard, not just a deliverables-first one
- Lead with first principles and are comfortable questioning assumptions others take for granted
- See complexity as an invitation, not an obstacle — you thrive when problems are messy and interconnected
- Care about the downstream effects of what you build — on users, on systems, on society
- Operate with intellectual humility — always learning, always open to being wrong
