About the role

What You Will Do

  • Lead the evolution of Seeq's frontend system, improving component quality, consistency, usability, and developer experience across the product.
  • Work closely with UX, Product, and Engineering teams to understand needs, set priorities, and craft reusable frontend foundations that raise product quality.
  • Understand how people actually work, focusing on workflows not just pixels, and design systems that support analysis, monitoring, triage, configuration, collaboration, and decision-making in complex, data-rich software.
  • Go beyond small UI primitives to shape foundational components, higher-order blocks, page-level templates, and reusable application patterns that support real user workflows.
  • Be thoughtful about how AI is changing product interfaces and evolve the frontend system to stay useful, elegant, and effective.
  • Leverage the best of the open-source ecosystem, using systems like shadcn/ui and other modern component foundations with taste and judgment.
  • Help ensure the component system delivers excellent developer experience in an AI-assisted world by creating components, patterns, APIs, structure, naming, and documentation that are easy to understand, adopt, and use correctly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional frontend engineer with strong product sense, visual taste, and systems thinking, with real experience creating, evolving, and shipping design systems or component libraries used in production applications.
  • Highly effective in React, Typescript, and TailwindCSS, building composable, accessible, robust, and ergonomic frontend systems.
  • Experienced in defining and building larger reusable blocks and application patterns for polished, consistent product surfaces.
  • Ability to understand user workflows and turn them into reusable structures, zooming in to refine details and zooming out to shape dashboard layouts, settings pages, and workflow-critical experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with care for documentation and clear conventions as much as implementation quality.
  • Strong ownership and agency to find gaps, make good judgments about focus, and drive improvements through to completion.
  • Love writing about the design system as much as building it, creating clear, useful, and engaging documentation.
