Freelance Reporter/Legal Analyst

The Role

Freelance Reporter/Legal Analyst for The Hedge Fund Law Report and Private Equity Law Report, analyzing critical legal issues in the private fund industry including rulemaking, compliance, taxation, marketing and operational challenges. Provides subscribers with proprietary analysis on dynamic issues and plain-English guidance to help legal counsel and compliance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and write articles of various types including feature thematic, Q&A, analysis and webinar/panel coverage articles based on extensive interviews with industry experts
• Address developments in regulation, laws, breaches, settlements, guidelines and best practices relevant to subscribers
• Identify article topics, themes, trends and ideas central to day-to-day business practices of subscribers through source engagement and information gathering
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry participants to understand pain points and industry challenges
