About the role
Accountabilities:
- Provide veterinary and technical expertise to poultry customers and external stakeholders, addressing animal health, diagnostics, disease control, and other field-related challenges.
- Develop and execute Key Opinion Leader engagement plans aligned with product priorities, future development, and launches.
- Contribute market, customer, competitive, and technical insights to strategic plans for the poultry business.
- Support value-added technical services and activities, including serology, PCR, and hatchery-related programs.
- Translate strategic priorities into practical field initiatives, marketing activities, and customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain strong knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, competition, customer needs, and opportunities across the product and service portfolio.
- Conduct regular field visits with colleagues to understand customer and field-force needs, monitor effectiveness, and provide coaching, feedback, training, and support.
- Monitor relevant KPIs and help drive appropriate customer coverage, engagement frequency, and business growth.
- Provide technical input to marketing initiatives and collaborate with learning and development teams to deliver high-quality technical training.
- Work closely with regulatory and pharmacovigilance stakeholders, ensuring relevant information is communicated appropriately and required activities are supported.
- Participate as a technical representative in business projects, meetings, events, and training programs.
- Maintain accurate business records and ensure clinical activities, demonstrations, and customer engagements are conducted in accordance with applicable policies and standards.
- Build strong relationships across commercial, technical, regulatory, and other internal functions while influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine is required, together with a valid passport and valid four-wheeler driving licence.
- At least 5 years of experience in the animal health industry is desirable, with strong technical and veterinary knowledge relevant to poultry.
- Demonstrated experience presenting technical information to larger groups, including industry Key Opinion Leaders and professional meetings.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary science, animal health, diagnostics, disease management, and related technical practices; diagnostic laboratory experience is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with knowledge of additional regional Indian languages considered an advantage.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical and scientific information into clear, practical messages for different audiences.
- Excellent customer relationship management, interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to set goals, drive performance, make sound analytical decisions, and influence others without formal authority.
- Strong commercial awareness and a customer-centric, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also operating independently in the field.
- Proficiency with standard business software, communication tools, and professional presentation platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within India, approximately 70% of the time, with occasional international travel.
