About the role
Purpose of the Position:
This role exists to support student and alumni career success by connecting them with employment opportunities and equipping them with essential job-readiness skills. It builds and maintains employer relationships while providing guidance on resumes, interviewing, and professional presentation. Additionally, the role ensures access to practical training opportunities by securing externship and clinical placement sites. Its impact strengthens career outcomes, enhances program value, and supports successful transitions from education to the workforce.
What you'll do:
- Career Placement Support – Assist students and graduates in securing employment aligned with their field of study or skill set by identifying opportunities, coordinating interviews, and supporting successful job placements.
- Student Career Coaching – Provide individualized guidance on interview techniques, workplace expectations, and professional readiness to help students confidently transition into the workforce.
- Employer & Partnership Development – Build and maintain relationships with employers and hiring managers to generate job leads, create placement opportunities, and expand hiring pipelines within assigned regions.
- Externship Coordination Support – Engage with externship and practicum sites to facilitate required documentation, while collaborating with coordinators and site administrators to ensure a smooth student experience and transition to employment.
- Performance & Compliance Management – Develop and execute plans to achieve placement goals, consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, and ensure all activities and documentation comply with institutional, federal, and accreditor standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
