About the Role

CannonDesign has an opportunity for an Ethics & Integrity Specialist to join our Ethics & Compliance team. This role will support day-to-day activities related to our firmwide ethics and integrity program, including responding to questions, supporting process documentation, assisting with due diligence, and helping maintain tools, resources and communications related to ethics and compliance topics. The ideal candidate is organized, thoughtful and detail-oriented, with good judgment and strong communication skills. This role works closely with internal teams and helps ensure colleagues have clear guidance and support when navigating ethics and compliance-related matters.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted resource for ethics and integrity questions, supporting colleagues as they navigate firm policies, procedures and expectations.
  • Review and triage inquiries related to conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, non-public information, public-sector engagements, RFP/RFQ considerations, vendor relationships and other ethics and compliance topics.
  • Support the intake, documentation, tracking and resolution of ethics and compliance matters in a timely, thoughtful and confidential manner.
  • Conduct research and due diligence using publicly available information and internal resources to support risk assessments, decision-making and program needs.
  • Assist with the development, coordination and delivery of ethics and compliance training, communications, guidance materials and awareness campaigns.
  • Help maintain accurate records, dashboards, trackers and other documentation to support program operations, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Legal, People, Finance, Operations and other internal teams to help ensure ethics and integrity considerations are embedded into business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program workflows, tools, templates and communication practices.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement.
  • May perform other duties as required.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Ethics or a related field preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CCEP, CCEP-I, or related credential is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in ethics and compliance, legal operations, risk management, investigations, governance or a related professional environment required.
  • Experience supporting ethics, compliance, legal or risk-related programs in a professional services, architecture/engineering, consulting, government contracting or similarly complex environment preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical and documentation skills with the ability to synthesize information and identify key issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain policies and expectations in a clear, practical and approachable way.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and follow through on time-sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential or sensitive information.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust and work effectively across teams, levels and geographies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use case management, reporting or workflow tools.
