About the role
Accountabilities:
- Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities for ERP and enterprise applications, including test strategy, planning, execution, documentation, and release readiness.
- Analyze moderate to complex business requirements, processes, and existing systems to identify solutions, improvements, and opportunities for automation.
- Gather, document, and translate business and user requirements into functional and technical system specifications.
- Coordinate system analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, maintenance, and operational support activities across multiple projects.
- Assess how requirements and system designs may affect interconnected applications, including Epic and third-party systems, and recommend solutions aligned with broader technology strategies.
- Serve as an integration point between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping ensure that solutions meet business needs without creating conflicts across development or design teams.
- Support system integration, user acceptance, and other testing activities while identifying, documenting, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues.
- Develop project plans covering scope, resources, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring initiatives remain on schedule and within established parameters.
- Collaborate with healthcare users, vendors, technical professionals, and business leaders to communicate requirements, changes, impacts, training needs, and implementation updates.
- Evaluate vendor offerings and software enhancements for alignment with technical standards, business requirements, data integrity, and application capabilities.
- Support operational readiness, conversion planning, training, documentation, and transition activities for new or enhanced solutions.
- Coordinate application performance monitoring, reports, queries, forms, screens, and other technology components required to support business and information needs.
- Identify business process strengths and weaknesses, contribute to process redesign, and recommend technology improvements or buy-versus-build options when appropriate.
- Provide technical guidance and support to users while maintaining a strong understanding of application capabilities, limitations, and operational requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and professional experience.
- Typically 5+ years of experience working with moderate to complex business process mapping, analysis, business and user requirements, acceptance testing, and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, systems analysis, application testing, and enterprise technology implementation.
- Strong understanding of applications, operating systems, databases, hardware, platforms, connectivity, and interface design.
- Ability to translate business and user requirements into clear system specifications and actionable technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of testing, change management, implementation, operational support, and software development processes.
- Experience working with healthcare application users, vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders is highly valuable.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage timelines, priorities, resources, dependencies, and multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, logical-thinking, troubleshooting, and issue-resolution skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and provide guidance or direction to other team members.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and understand how individual technology components interact within broader enterprise systems.
- Pay range: $44.15–$66.25 per hour, with actual compensation based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, training, and other factors.
