About the role

Accountabilities

    • Lead the overall execution strategy and delivery lifecycle for assigned plant equipment, coordinating engineering, procurement, quality, fabrication, testing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and licensing activities.
    • Define equipment requirements, goals, milestones, priorities, and delivery plans while maintaining alignment with broader project objectives.
    • Drive equipment delivery according to established cost and schedule commitments, monitor progress, and keep project leadership and key stakeholders informed.
    • Coordinate cross-functional reviews and ensure deliverables are completed on time, with work consistently prioritized according to schedule, risk, and project value.
    • Develop and implement recovery and get-well plans when cost, schedule, testing, or delivery issues arise, escalating critical challenges through clearly defined governance channels.
    • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to develop equipment-specific sourcing strategies, support pre-RFP vendor engagement, track contracts, and oversee vendor performance and funding.
    • Coordinate testing programs by aligning funding, schedules, qualification activities, results, and accountability with equipment delivery requirements.
    • Work with fabrication oversight teams to manage vendors and coordinate witness and hold-point notifications at critical stages of production.
    • Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams to integrate equipment assembly, installation, inspection, documentation, materials, spare parts, and on-site testing requirements into delivery plans.
    • Partner with quality assurance and licensing teams to ensure equipment activities and documentation comply with applicable quality requirements, regulatory guidelines, nuclear codes, and industry standards.
    • Work with project management and project controls teams to maintain accurate cost and schedule forecasts while identifying emerging trends, risks, and dependencies.
    • Interface closely with product management to ensure equipment design, performance, and requirements remain aligned with product and project objectives.
    • Establish governance checkpoints, formal escalation protocols, prioritization reviews, and accountability mechanisms to support timely decision-making and effective risk mitigation.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, project management, project delivery, equipment delivery, or a closely related discipline.
      • Proven experience leading complex project scopes involving multiple teams, organizations, dependencies, and competing priorities.
      • Strong technical background with the ability to lead teams and make informed decisions across one or more areas of equipment delivery and project execution.
      • Experience using project management and scheduling tools such as Jira and Primavera P6.
      • Strong familiarity with nuclear industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME BPVC, ASME QME-1, NQA-1, IEEE standards, and related industry requirements.
      • Experience managing suppliers, vendors, procurement activities, testing programs, fabrication, construction interfaces, or commissioning activities is highly valuable.
      • PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, or comparable professional certification is preferred.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across organizational and functional boundaries.
      • Excellent conflict-resolution, prioritization, problem-solving, and escalation-management capabilities.
      • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment where plans may need to change to meet project objectives.
      • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of complex problems through resolution.
      • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, openness, and commitment to fostering effective teamwork.
      • Candidates must satisfy applicable qualification requirements under ANSI/ANS 3.1, including relevant education and nuclear industry experience where required, with information subject to verification.
      • Ability to meet the physical and working requirements of the position, including prolonged computer-based work, sitting, standing, bending, grasping, fine motor activities, stairs, and safely lifting up to 25 pounds.
      • Willingness to travel approximately 20–40% as required by project activities.
      • Eligibility for employment may be subject to applicable U.S. government export-control requirements associated with controlled nuclear technology.
