Engineering Manager

About the Role This posting is for an India-based engineer. We are not looking for part-time contractors, so please only apply if you're looking for a full-time position. About PeopleGrove PeopleGrove has built a dynamic cloud-based software platform for universities, companies, and nonprofits to power mentoring and networking initiatives. As a full-stack engineering manager, you'll become an integral member of a small team of engineers, working throughout the product and stack to build new features, improve the product, and build out our technical ops. What you'll be doing at PeopleGrove? Lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software products. Drive technical excellence, people development, execution, and operational excellence while working closely with Product, QA, Design, and Architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities

• · Lead and mentor engineering teams through coaching and career development.

  · Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives with predictable, high-quality releases.

  · Drive architecture reviews, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.

  · Collaborate with Product, QA, and stakeholders to prioritize and execute the roadmap.

  · Monitor engineering metrics, SLA compliance, production stability, and operational excellence.

  · Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  · Promote the use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.

  · Support hiring, onboarding, and resource planning.

Required Skills

• · Strong experience with PHP/Laravel or similar backend frameworks.

  · Good understanding of Node.js (preferred).

  · Experience with React or Vue.js.

  · Strong knowledge of REST APIs, MySQL/PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and Agile.
