Engineering Manager, Enterprise Platform
About the role
Overview
The Enterprise Platform team builds the core APIs and tools that power Instacart’s Fulfillment-as-a-Service offering, enabling retailers to operate their own digital storefronts while leveraging Instacart’s technology and fulfillment network. Our platform supports roughly $4B in GTV and sits at the center of Instacart’s enterprise ecosystem. This role is based in Toronto, Canada, with flexibility for remote work across Canada.
The Team’s Work Is Organized Across Two Pillars
- Connect Fulfillment – High‑performance fulfillment APIs that support real‑time retail experiences
- Enterprise Tools – Retailer‑facing tools (e.g., testing center, debugging, credential management) that simplify and streamline integrations with Instacart
As an Engineering Manager, you will own the technical strategy and roadmap for Enterprise Platform APIs and Tools, drive the vision, and shape future products for retailers. You’ll lead, develop, and grow a team of 10+ software engineers while partnering closely with Product, Business Development, Professional Services, Data Science, and cross‑org engineering teams to deliver an enterprise‑grade experience at scale.
This is an opportunity to lead one of Instacart’s fastest‑growing businesses (growing more than 30% annually), solve complex cross‑organizational technical challenges, and see your work directly impact retailers and customers. You’ll thrive here if you’re a hands‑on, high‑ownership leader who values transparency, collaboration, and operational excellence in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
