About the Company
At Torc, we have always believed that autonomous vehicle technology will transform how we travel, move freight, and do business.
A leader in autonomous driving since 2007, Torc has spent over a decade commercializing our solutions with experienced partners. As a part of the Daimler family, we are focused solely on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight.
Join us and catapult your career with the company that helped pioneer autonomous technology, and the first AV software company with the vision to partner directly with a truck manufacturer.
Meet the team
The Release group plays a critical role in Torc’s product engineering and release lifecycle. The Release group is responsible for ensuring safe and successful product delivery by working collaboratively across engineering divisions to sponsor and drive the release ecosystem. The Release group includes Engineering Quality Management, Release Management, System Triage and System Verification and Validation teams. This role is within the Engineering Quality Management (EQM) team where we provide quality assurance activities by preventing defects, improving processes, and applying standards throughout the development lifecycle. We support the creation of release artifacts and end-to-end traceability of our digital thread through efficient use of lifecycle tooling.
What you’ll do
The Manager of EQM is responsible for people leadership of a team of Quality Assurance engineers that oversees the engineering team’s quality control and assurance processes. This includes regular compliance audits to ensure compliance and detect gaps against Torc’s QMS system and safety, cybersecurity and regulatory standards.
The people leader of EQM will drive strategic initiatives, mitigate risks, perform resource planning and performance management for direct reports.
A successful candidate will have experience performing thought leadership, cross-function collaboration, and driving improvements for quality management systems to meet production goals. A robust background in large-scale, safety-critical systems and/or software development processes within complex development systems is beneficial to guide company engineering procedures.
