About the role
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of end-to-end Workforce Management solutions using UKG ProWFM, including timekeeping, absence management, scheduling, forecasting, SWP, Datahub, and related capabilities.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for WFM implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and large-scale deployment initiatives.
- Architect and govern integrations between workforce management platforms and enterprise systems such as HRIS, payroll, ERP, reporting, and time-tracking solutions.
- Design scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions using platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, BTP, and related technologies, with a focus on data accuracy, connectivity, and low latency.
- Analyze business requirements and technical environments to develop practical application designs, support product discovery, and translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish and improve implementation processes, milestones, connectivity, reliability, and delivery practices to ensure projects meet targeted timelines.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, data pipelines, and agentic processes to enhance workforce management workflows and user experiences.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture and design specifications, process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Ensure solutions comply with applicable security, data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements across different markets and geographies.
- Guide technical teams and partners, lead other engineers, coordinate multiple deliverables, and support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Promote Agile delivery practices, including Scrum or Kanban, while collaborating effectively with product, engineering, business, and external partner teams.
- 8+ years of overall technology experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on UKG/Kronos ProWFM implementation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong experience designing and deploying cloud-based applications, preferably within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Knowledge of applying AI to business and engineering workflows, including familiarity with LLMs, RPA, machine learning platforms, and related OpenAI concepts.
- Strong programming knowledge in languages such as Java and Python, combined with experience designing APIs and event-driven systems.
- Extensive integration experience covering REST APIs, web services, synchronous and asynchronous communication, API management, versioning, documentation, monitoring, and observability.
- Proficiency with Boomi AtomSphere, including custom connectors, APIs, process flows, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and data-streaming technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or GCP Pub/Sub.
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD knowledge, including hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, serverless architectures, and cloud-based integration techniques.
- Strong testing discipline, including test-driven development and automated testing for web services, APIs, and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on database experience with SQL/RDBMS, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Looker Studio.
- Knowledge of cloud and microservices security, authentication, encryption, data protection, and GDPR compliance.
- Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent deliverables across internal teams and external partners while maintaining strong attention to quality and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a willingness to work flexibly across global teams and project schedules.
- An open-minded, continuous-learning mindset and enthusiasm for adopting emerging technologies, particularly in AI, data engineering, and automation.
- $150,000–$180,000 annual starting salary, with actual compensation depending on factors such as location, qualifications, education, performance, and business needs.
