About the role
Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the overall delivery of assigned Workday engagements, helping clients streamline processes and achieve their transformation objectives.
- Oversee the various stages of Workday projects while maintaining alignment with scope, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Apply strong consultative and business process improvement skills to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and support effective implementation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams to communicate project challenges, opportunities, and process improvements.
- Foster an innovative, team-oriented environment that encourages continuous improvement across project delivery and consulting practices.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout engagements.
- Support business development and sales-cycle activities, including RFP responses, presentations, demonstrations, and other client-facing materials.
- Contribute to complex, multi-phase implementations and provide on-site support for important project milestones when required.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience using Workday in an engagement management or business process improvement capacity, preferably in an Engagement Manager role; alternatively, a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates without a formal degree may substitute education with at least 11 years of relevant Workday engagement management or business process improvement experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with an ERP platform such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft.
- Proven experience contributing to or leading multiple referenceable implementations.
- Experience executing projects within a structured project methodology and managing complex, multi-phase initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Workday engagement and project management practices; Workday EM or PM certification is preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, presentation, and client relationship skills, including experience with RFP responses, white papers, Workday demonstrations, and executive presentations.
- PMP certification is a plus, as is experience delivering implementations for state or local government organizations.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, with a primarily remote or office-based work arrangement and occasional on-site client support.
- Annual salary range of $135,000–$225,000, with compensation determined by experience, skills, training, certifications, and other relevant factors.
