About the role

Accountabilities

    • Serve as the primary liaison between employees and the organization across the assigned LATAM region, fostering positive employee relationships while maintaining compliance standards.
    • Advise HR Business Partners, managers, and employees on employment legislation, regulations, compensation and benefits topics, and internal People policies.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners to assess and implement business changes, providing strategic employee relations guidance throughout the process.
    • Provide counseling and practical guidance on sensitive matters, including sick leave, terminations, and individual employee cases.
    • Conduct investigations into complex employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality, impartiality, and compliance with applicable regional requirements.
    • Work closely with People Operations to ensure effective execution of employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
    • Collaborate with other Employee Relations Managers to maintain the HR compliance framework, share best practices, and promote consistency across regional initiatives.
    • Monitor employee relations data, metrics, and trends to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and proactive solutions.
    • Partner with People Centers of Excellence to coordinate global and region-specific HR programs and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Develop and deliver training for managers on employee relations and HR compliance topics, including sick leave, terminations, and People policies.
    • Lead or contribute to strategic HR projects designed to strengthen employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance.
    • Requirements

      • At least 3 years of experience working with LATAM labor laws and employment regulations; experience with Honduras and/or Argentina is particularly valuable, while knowledge of Mexican labor law is a plus.
      • At least 4 years of experience in employee relations or a comparable HR role is preferred.
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an advantage.
      • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment legislation, HR compliance, and policy and procedure development and enforcement.
      • Experience advising managers and employees on sensitive workplace matters and resolving complex employee relations issues.
      • Experience working in fast-paced organizations where change, growth, transitions, or scaling are frequent; technology or BPO experience is preferred.
      • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across HR, management, and operational teams.
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
      • Excellent spoken and written English, as well as fluency in Spanish.
      • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
      • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Comfortable working independently in a remote, international environment.
      • Technical requirements: Minimum internet speed of 15 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload, with international latency below 120 ms.
      • Equipment: Minimum 8 GB RAM, integrated graphics, and two monitors.
      • Operating system: Windows 11 excluding S Mode, or macOS 13.0 or newer.
      • Processor: CPU Mark of at least 7368, comparable to an Intel i5-8300H or better; Intel processors must be 8th generation or newer, while Ryzen processors must be 2nd generation or newer.
      • Mobile authentication: Smartphone supporting two-factor authentication with Android 10.0+ or iOS 16.0+.
