Role Overview
We are looking for an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Coordinator to join our Merchandising Execution Team. This individual will report into our Manager of Merchandising Execution and serve as the primary point of contact for all EDI operations. In this position, you will be responsible for vendor onboarding, transaction monitoring, issue resolution, and ensuring seamless integration between EDI, internal systems, and business operations. Key Details
Role Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility
Base Salary: $71,000 – $88,500 per year
Responsibilities
- Coordinate configuration, testing, and maintenance of EDI transactions with external EDI provider and trading partners, including 850 (Purchase Orders), 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgments), 856 (Advance Ship Notices), 810 (Invoices), and 820 (Payment Orders).
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transaction errors, resolving issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
- Onboard new EDI trading partners, including testing and validation of EDI maps and communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Merchandising, IT, Warehouse, Customer Service) to ensure EDI processes align with business needs.
- Maintain and update EDI documentation, mapping, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automations, and best practices for EDI operations.
- Assist with system testing and upgrades related to EDI integrations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in EDI coordination, EDI support, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency with EDI standards (ANSI X12) and common transaction sets (850, 855, 856, 810, 820).
- Experience with EDI mapping software and translation tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, OpenText, SEEBURGER, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with trading partners and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
