About the role
Accountabilities:
- Manage and maintain storefront content across Shopify and the Shop app, including the homepage, collections, product detail pages, banners, navigation, and other customer-facing elements.
- Merchandise collections to improve product discovery and conversion, using sorting logic, inventory-aware rules, and seasonal merchandising strategies.
- Build and launch landing pages using reusable theme sections and metafield-driven components.
- Manage redirects, URL handles, 404 errors, and other site structure updates as the catalog evolves.
- Own end-to-end product and collection onboarding, including variants, pricing, imagery, metafields, tags, publishing channels, and launch schedules.
- Plan, schedule, test, launch, and remove promotional content while ensuring campaigns are accurately implemented and cleaned up after completion.
- Configure and validate promotional mechanics such as discount codes, automatic discounts, scheduled pricing, bundles, gifts with purchase, and shipping thresholds.
- Conduct detailed pre-launch QA and go-live verification using established checklists.
- Maintain accurate product categorization, tagging, classification, and metafield data to support filtering, search, automated collections, and reusable page components.
- Monitor the health of connected sales channels and product feeds, including Google Merchant Center, Meta, and the Shop app, and resolve errors or disapprovals.
- Optimize on-site search through synonym management, zero-result query analysis, boost and bury rules, and merchandising of high-intent searches.
- Improve category and collection structures based on customer navigation behavior and shopping patterns.
- Maintain website accessibility practices, including alt text, color contrast, keyboard navigation, focus states, form labels, and appropriate heading structures.
- Ensure website claims, disclosures, promotional messaging, and terms align with approved requirements.
- Analyze GA4 and Microsoft Clarity data to identify customer friction, drop-off points, merchandising opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Produce recurring site performance reports and post-campaign analyses with actionable insights.
- Act as the first point of response for site defects by triaging issues, reproducing problems, documenting findings, and escalating technical tickets with clear information.
- Manage theme updates through staging and preview environments, coordinating reviews before publication and regression checks afterward.
- Support on-site reviews and user-generated content, including widget placement, review syndication for new products, and Q&A moderation.
- Develop and maintain clear SOPs and process documentation to improve operational consistency and team visibility.
- Collaborate effectively across teams while driving results, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a strong customer focus.
- 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce operations, digital merchandising, web production, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience managing Shopify back-end operations, including SKUs, collections, variants, tags, metafields, and theme sections.
- Familiarity with bulk product editing and sales channel feeds, particularly Google Merchant Center, Meta, and Shop app integrations.
- Practical understanding of product sorting, promotional mechanics, including discounts, bundles, and gifts with purchase, and on-site search optimization.
- Working knowledge of GA4 and Microsoft Clarity for identifying customer behavior, friction, and conversion opportunities.
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility principles, including alt text, color contrast, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and related practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to pre-launch and promotional QA.
- Ability to reproduce technical issues, document bugs clearly, and communicate effectively with engineering or technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage launch schedules, staging previews, promotional updates, and post-campaign cleanup.
- Strong process documentation and SOP-writing skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proactive, action-oriented approach with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and technologies.
- Comfort adopting new technologies and experimenting with AI-powered tools and workflows.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience using autonomous AI agents for direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands.
- Preferred: Understanding of beauty-industry consumer needs and search behaviors, including hair-type diagnostics, ingredient compatibility, and routine-building.
