About the role

Shape the Future of LED Innovation

LG Electronics is redefining what’s possible in large-format displays, and our DirectView LED (DVLED) solutions are leading the way in stadiums, control rooms, corporate campuses, and immersive experiences worldwide. We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer II who thrives in the field, someone who can turn complex technical plans into flawlessly executed installations while building strong partnerships and delivering jaw-dropping results.

In this role, you’ll be the on-site technical authority, guiding System Integration Partners from the first site visit to final sign-off. You’ll solve problems in real time, optimize installation workflows, and ensure every project reflects LG’s uncompromising quality standards.

Why You’ll Love This Role:
This isn’t just project engineering, it’s front-line innovation. You’ll work with cutting-edge LED technology, lead installations seen by thousands, and play a direct role in shaping how the world experiences digital displays. Every day in the field brings new challenges, new locations, and the satisfaction of building something unforgettable.

What You'll Do

As a Project Engineer I, you'll be at the forefront of delivering some of the industry's most innovative DirectView LED (DVLED) installations. Serving as LG's primary on-site technical representative, you'll partner with System Integration teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to transform complex engineering designs into world-class visual experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Project Success – Coordinate with Project Managers and System Integration Partners to ensure installations remain on schedule and are executed efficiently.
  • Train Installation Teams – Provide installation and product operation training for system integrators, technicians, and LG personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as LG's Technical Expert – Act as the primary on-site technical liaison between customers, sales teams, vendors, and integration partners.
  • Solve Complex Challenges – Partner with Technical Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve installation, configuration, and system integration issues.
  • Ensure Site Readiness – Evaluate installation environments to verify site conditions, infrastructure, safety requirements, and overall project readiness before work begins.
  • Validate Project Materials – Verify inventory, bills of materials (BOMs), shipping documentation, and equipment prior to installation.
  • Capture Project Progress – Maintain accurate documentation, daily status reports, technical findings, and project updates throughout the installation lifecycle.
  • Champion Product Innovation – Provide technical insights that directly influence next-gen DVLED product improvements while representing customer needs to Product Management teams.
  • Represent LG at Industry Events – Support product demonstrations, trade shows, customer events, and LG Brand Innovation Centers with technical expertise and product setup.
  • Provide Remote Technical Support – Assist customers and partners with troubleshooting and technical guidance when onsite support is not required.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical School certification in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent technical education.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on DirectView LED installation experience.
  • Working knowledge of DVLED technology, mounting systems, LED module handling, and installation best practices.
  • Working knowledge of NovaStar and Megapixel LED display control systems, including controller configuration, commissioning, image mapping, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and design tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Visio).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret A/V, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
  • Understanding of IT, networking, and A/V system integration.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled in documenting and escalating technical issues.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
  • Comfort working in high-stakes, fast-paced environments—independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Knowledge of site safety procedures, safe tool use, and ladder safety.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools while following established job site safety procedures.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and flexibility to travel extensively (75%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial AV or DirectView LED installations.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification required; OSHA 30-Hour certification strongly preferred.
  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Service, Project Management, Sales Engineering).
  • Proven success supporting System Integration Partners and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
