The District Sales Manager oversees sales activities within a specific geographical district, managing a team of sales representatives in the Los Angeles area including Beverly Hills, Glendale, Long Beach, and Santa Monica. In this vital role, you will serve as the liaison to medical professionals, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen's products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage district sales teams to maximize performance and achieve/exceed sales and budget targets
- Set sales targets and develop strategies to reach those goals
- Report on sales metrics and track the progress of marketing messages and programs
- Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging internal and external resources
- Screen, interview, and hire candidates
- Ensure compliance with training requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other Amgen business units including Regional Sales Directors and Corporate Account Managers
