About the role
Accountabilities:
- Lead and oversee engagement teams delivering buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence projects, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely execution.
- Assess quality of earnings, cash flows, working capital, financial performance, and key business drivers through detailed financial analysis and discussions with management and advisors.
- Review complex quantitative and qualitative financial information and translate findings into clear, data-driven insights that support transaction decisions.
- Manage engagement execution, coordinating priorities, deliverables, timelines, and client communications across multiple projects.
- Work closely with managers and partners on engagement strategy, client management, risk considerations, and transaction-related matters.
- Build and strengthen client relationships by delivering high-quality service and identifying opportunities to support evolving client needs.
- Communicate directly with business owners, executive management, investors, lenders, and other sophisticated transaction stakeholders.
- Supervise, mentor, train, and develop team members, providing meaningful feedback and contributing to performance evaluations and career development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment characterized by professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong technical standards.
- Contribute to business development through networking, client relationship expansion, recruiting activities, and participation in industry and professional events.
- Support recruiting initiatives, including campus recruiting, experienced-hire referrals, and broader talent development efforts.
- Participate actively in internal and external training, professional development, and networking opportunities.
- Present financial analyses and transaction findings to senior management and other executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and a positive attitude while managing multiple priorities in a demanding transaction environment.
- At least 8 years of experience within a large accounting firm in audit, financial advisory, or transaction services, or comparable experience in corporate finance or accounting.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience, with demonstrated success mentoring, coaching, and developing associates and other professionals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and intermediate-to-advanced Excel capabilities, with experience performing complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
- Ability to evaluate financial information, identify important trends and risks, and develop practical, data-driven conclusions.
- Strong understanding of financial due diligence concepts, including quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, and business drivers.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses clearly to management and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively with professionals at different levels and across various industries.
- Comfortable interacting directly with senior client personnel and participating in executive briefings and transaction discussions.
- Strong client-service orientation, professional maturity, ethical standards, initiative, and positive attitude.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
