About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Lead the development of innovative C-UAS and integrated defense solutions addressing mission requirements across C-UAS, force protection, layered defense, and mission integration.
    • Drive technical solution development for strategic, highly competitive proposals, including defining technical approaches, architectures, and supporting documentation.
    • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies across C-UAS sensing, tracking, identification, command and control, electronic warfare, communications, mitigation, and sustainment.
    • Develop scalable systems solutions incorporating systems engineering, networking and operations, open architectures, modeling and simulation, systems integration, and operational test and evaluation.
    • Support business development and capture activities by shaping opportunities early, understanding customer priorities, assessing the competitive landscape, and aligning technical capabilities with growth objectives.
    • Build and leverage relationships with federal customers, industry partners, technology providers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and strengthen solution positioning.
    • Collaborate with account executives, technical leads, engineering teams, and growth professionals to develop integrated solutions for emerging mission requirements.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to proposal teams from opportunity inception through completion, including development of technical approach volumes and proposal content.
    • Apply knowledge of the evolving UAS threat environment, industry trends, and federal acquisition priorities to inform solution strategies.
    • Support technical partnerships and initiatives while ensuring proposed capabilities align with operational requirements, customer needs, and business objectives.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, business, or related discipline; an engineering or technical degree is preferred.
      • 10+ years of diversified experience spanning technology development, engineering management, business development, capture management, or related areas.
      • Extensive experience delivering software and hardware capabilities within federal mission environments, ideally involving C-UAS, air defense, electronic warfare, force protection, or related domains.
      • Strong understanding of C-UAS systems-of-systems integration, including multi-sensor and multi-effector capabilities such as radar, RF detection, EO/IR, command and control, electronic warfare, communications, and kinetic/non-kinetic defeat systems.
      • Demonstrated experience with systems engineering, prototype development, tactical-edge communications and networking, open systems architectures, modeling and simulation, and operational test and evaluation.
      • Deep understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle and experience applying acquisition principles to capability development, fielding, and sustainment.
      • Experience supporting proposal development, technical writing, and the preparation of technical reports and solution approaches.
      • Strong knowledge of federal customers and mission environments, with experience supporting defense, homeland security, civilian, or other national-security organizations.
      • Strong written, verbal, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Ability to understand business objectives and translate mission and operational requirements into practical, innovative, and competitive technology solutions.
      • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborating across technical, business development, capture, and customer-facing teams.
      • Active Secret security clearance required; TS/SSBI is preferred, and the selected candidate must satisfy applicable federal requirements for access to classified information.
      • Willingness and ability to travel as required, typically 20–30%, with occasional periods exceeding 30%.
      • Must be able to support remote work while traveling to offices in the DC Metro area and other required locations.
