JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Sales UK & Ireland is a key role within the Sales division as you will be instrumental in forming, developing and leading a team of Enterprise/Territory Account Executives for the UK & Ireland. Furthermore the Director of Sales shapes the Storyblok sales concept for this target market and scales revenue to the next level. Responsible for leading the UK & Ireland Enterprise/Territory Account Executive team and scaling that up. Oversees business development and sales activities into existing and new markets and helps the team in forecasting and negotiating complex deals. Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for the UK&I market
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Account Executives.
- Shape and refine Storyblok's sales concept for the UK&I target market
- Oversee sales activities in existing and new markets within UK&I
- Guide the team in forecasting and negotiating complex deals
- Analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and develop action plans to capitalize on them
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company objectives
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management
- Continuously optimize sales processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and projections for the UK&I region
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives (eg. Marketing, Partners, DACH, AMER and Global BDR, EMEA and Global AE) to align sales strategies with overall business goals
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
