About the role
Overview
You are an exceptional People Leader with experience building out the People function of a hyper-growth scale-up. You have led a People team of approximately 15 or more and are excited to join an earlier stage company where you'll build the team back up to that size and beyond over time. Initially, you will lead an organisation of approximately 6 people.
This role places you at the intersection of People technology, process, and data. You care deeply about excellence in the People function and bring well-founded perspectives that differentiate you from the majority of HR professionals. You relish constantly experimenting with better ways to conduct Human Resources.
About the Role
You will be a thought leader on the HR side of the People function, setting the foundation for how Ashby scales as a company. Your responsibilities include:
- Review all existing People practices and drive change for current and future needs
- Lead process improvements and organizational changes
- Select and implement HR systems
- Drive data analytics initiatives
- Create comprehensive documentation
- Communicate and influence scaled change across the company
- Become an expert on Ashby's world-class people technology suite
- Serve as an external thought leader by speaking with customers and Product Managers
- Present at conferences and write compelling content for People professionals and Hiring Managers
What You Should Have
- Experience building and leading a People team to support a SaaS company scaling from approximately 500 to over 1,000 employees
- Curiosity about where else the People tech stack can take the company in this era of technology transformation
- Proven ability to build exceptional processes, people, and environments
- Excellent communication skills with emphasis on clarity and conciseness
- Understanding of myriad stakeholders and their needs
- Comfort with ambiguity as the role evolves with company growth
