About the role
Accountabilities
Lead paid media planning strategy and serve as a strategic thought partner to brand teams on how media can support both consideration and conversion.
Oversee media agency strategy and execution, including media plans, channel strategies, learning agendas, annual planning, quarterly planning, campaign planning, pacing, and optimization.
Establish frameworks that promote innovation, analytical rigor, experimentation, and continuous learning across media programs.
Lead performance measurement, benchmarking, optimization reviews, and ongoing assessment of paid media outcomes.
Partner with analytics teams to translate media mix modeling, attribution, incrementality testing, and other analytical insights into investment and strategy decisions.
Ensure reporting accuracy, data quality, KPI tracking, dashboard updates, and effective performance readouts.
Identify performance issues, optimization opportunities, and operational risks and escalate significant concerns to senior media leadership.
Identify gaps in media processes and develop practical solutions, documentation, and standardized ways of working.
Collaborate across the media organization to establish scalable approaches and best practices that can benefit multiple brands.
Coordinate with website and CRM teams to optimize digital customer journeys and media performance.
Partner with media operations on audience segmentation, suppression strategies, retargeting, tagging, tracking, and audience integration.
Maintain strong alignment between internal stakeholders and external agency partners to ensure effective execution and accountability.
10+ years of experience in paid media, digital marketing, media strategy, or a closely related field.
Significant experience working with media agencies or leading media strategy and execution from the agency side.
Deep expertise across both digital and traditional media channels, including local and national campaigns.
Demonstrated ability to develop media strategies, interpret performance data, generate actionable insights, and optimize investment over time.
Strong understanding of media measurement, performance marketing, attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality, and test-and-learn methodologies.
Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and coordinate complex initiatives.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to operational accuracy.
Experience establishing processes, managing approvals, documenting workflows, and creating scalable operating frameworks.
Strategic and analytical mindset combined with a practical, execution-oriented approach.
Collaborative, accountable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Experience with franchise or cooperative marketing structures is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA is preferred.
Annual compensation range of $145,500–$259,800, with actual base pay varying according to location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
Potential supplemental compensation, including commissions or bonus incentives depending on the role.
