About the role
Accountabilities:
- Build measurement infrastructure: Design and implement SQL queries, dashboards, and daily reporting views that surface campaign performance well ahead of traditional post-campaign analysis.
- Establish the measurement framework: Define reporting standards, cadences, and playbooks for weekly client-facing updates and deeper post-campaign analyses.
- Deliver actionable insights: Lead early measurement checkpoints on qualifying campaigns, partnering with Client Success teams to translate first-party and third-party data into insights clients can act upon.
- Define campaign success criteria: Work with Sales and Strategy before campaigns launch to establish clear, measurable objectives and ensure the measurement approach can evaluate them effectively.
- Own the complete data ecosystem: Integrate first-party data, including platform and organic results, with third-party sources such as brand lift, attribution, and foot-traffic data.
- Productize measurement: Develop complex and customized measurement capabilities into scalable, revenue-generating services while maintaining accountability for their commercial performance.
- Partner with Engineering: Collaborate with platform data engineering, Product, and other technical teams to develop advanced measurement tooling and infrastructure.
- Automate and scale: Replace repetitive manual reporting with reusable systems, templates, workflows, and automation that allow the function to grow efficiently.
- Lead and develop the team: Coach and develop the measurement analyst while establishing the processes, standards, and operating model needed to scale the function.
- Drive cross-functional influence: Translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders and help teams make better decisions based on evidence.
- Balance speed and rigor: Prioritize useful, timely insights while continuously improving measurement quality, reliability, and sophistication.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, media, measurement, analytics, or related fields, with demonstrated expertise across both first-party and third-party data.
- 5+ years of people management experience, including developing talent and building new capabilities rather than simply managing an established function.
- Strong technical capabilities: Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience building dashboards and analytical reporting; comfortable remaining deeply involved in technical execution.
- 0-to-1 leadership experience: Proven track record of building a measurement, analytics, or insights capability from the ground up.
- Relevant industry background: Experience within agency, adtech, martech, media measurement, or measurement platforms. Experience from general SaaS environments without relevant measurement exposure is less applicable.
- Creator or influencer measurement experience is highly desirable.
- Commercialization experience: Demonstrated ability to turn measurement or analytics capabilities into revenue-generating products or services.
- Engineering partnership: Experience building measurement solutions under resource constraints while working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Automation mindset: Strong preference for scalable, reusable, and automated solutions over repetitive manual reporting.
- Data storytelling: Ability to turn complex analytical findings into clear narratives that non-technical clients and internal stakeholders can understand and act upon.
- Bias toward execution: Comfortable shipping practical solutions quickly and improving them iteratively rather than waiting for perfect analysis.
- Influence without authority: Skilled at collaborating across functions, advocating for priorities, and driving outcomes when technical dependencies sit with other teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Thrives in greenfield environments where processes, systems, and organizational structures are still being established.
- Leadership style: Hands-on, analytical, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and comfortable operating as both strategist and individual contributor.
- Base salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year.
- Additional compensation: Potential eligibility for variable compensation, including bonuses or commissions, depending on role and location.
- Equity: Stock options may be available as part of the overall compensation package.
- Additional perks and benefits: Available depending on the role and location.
- Transparent compensation framework: Compensation is structured around clearly defined levels, considering seniority, expertise, scope, performance expectations, and impact.
- Remote work: US-based remote position.
- Inclusive workplace: Commitment to diversity, equal opportunity, and creating an environment where employees can bring their authentic selves to work.
- Accessibility support: Accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process when required.
