About the role

Accountabilities

    • Own the overall marketing strategy, roadmap, priorities, budget, operating rhythm, and performance, ensuring the function remains focused on initiatives that drive enrollment and business growth.
    • Lead paid acquisition across search and social through performance agency partners, owning CAC, lead quality, funnel performance, and disciplined spend scaling.
    • Direct the rebrand and website launch, then manage the ongoing brand strategy, including caregiver-first messaging, condition-specific content, testimonials, outcomes data, partner proof points, and founder storytelling.
    • Develop and oversee growth strategies across brand, performance, lifecycle, outreach, engagement, web, and emerging channels such as direct mail, CTV, and print.
    • Build a deep understanding of caregivers and family decision-makers, defining personas, messaging hierarchies, outreach strategies, and experimentation priorities.
    • Establish trusted measurement practices in partnership with data teams, including channel attribution, funnel analysis, weekly dashboards, and insights connecting marketing investment to enrollment and completed visits.
    • Lead and develop the internal marketing team, including existing marketing and design resources, while progressively building internal capabilities and reducing agency dependence.
    • Manage external agencies and partners, setting expectations, evaluating performance, and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
    • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure public-facing communications are medically accurate, appropriately reviewed, and supported by appropriate patient and caregiver consent.
    • Develop B2B and B2B2C communications and co-marketing strategies with partnership teams, translating clinical outcomes and care models into compelling narratives for enterprise health systems, health plans, and other stakeholders.
    • Strengthen the organization’s presence across neurological disease communities, including ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s/dementia.
    • Lead cross-functional communications across consumer, partner, patient-facing, and internal audiences while maintaining consistency and clarity of messaging.
    • Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and growth outcomes.
    • Establish a scalable marketing operating model and prepare annual plans that align resources, initiatives, and targets with broader organizational priorities.
    • Requirements

      • 8+ years of marketing experience, including significant experience in DTC or B2B2C healthcare marketing; experience with virtual-first healthcare providers is highly valued.
      • Proven ownership of paid acquisition budgets with direct accountability for CAC, LTV, lead quality, and measurable growth outcomes.
      • Full-stack marketing expertise spanning brand, performance, lifecycle, and web, with demonstrated depth in at least two of these areas.
      • Experience developing and executing communications across B2C, B2B, B2B2C, internal, and patient-facing audiences.
      • Strong agency management experience, with the ability to establish accountability, drive quality, and determine when capabilities should transition in-house.
      • A hands-on leadership approach, with the ability to develop strategy while also writing briefs, analyzing performance data, shaping messaging, and delivering key initiatives personally.
      • Strong data fluency, including experience with product analytics, funnel analysis, attribution, and marketing performance measurement; familiarity with Mixpanel is beneficial.
      • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in early-stage or growth-stage environments with changing priorities, limited resources, and high expectations.
      • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex healthcare concepts into clear, empathetic, and persuasive messaging.
      • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with executive, clinical, data, partnerships, and operational stakeholders.
      • Experience marketing to older adults, caregivers, or family decision-makers is preferred.
      • Exposure to offline and emerging channels such as direct mail, CTV, or print is a plus.
      • Experience navigating clinical, legal, or regulatory review processes for public-facing content is preferred.
      • Existing relationships with patient advocacy organizations or nonprofit health communities are advantageous.
      • Strong empathy for patients and caregivers, curiosity, integrity, adaptability, and a bias toward action are essential.
      • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
