About the role

Accountabilities

    • Develop and execute a global insights roadmap that supports current business priorities and future opportunities across a portfolio of targeted oncology assets.
    • Lead market research and analytical initiatives across multiple geographies, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business and portfolio decisions.
    • Communicate strategic insights effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, highlighting key findings, implications, data strength, and research limitations.
    • Analyze complex markets, disease areas, competitive landscapes, customer dynamics, and managed care environments to identify critical business drivers and opportunities.
    • Support disease-area strategy, lifecycle planning, product positioning, clinical development planning, and portfolio decision-making through robust insights.
    • Build organizational knowledge around market dynamics, product attributes, potential use cases, competitive positioning, and evolving customer needs.
    • Partner closely with Global Commercial Development, Clinical Development, Portfolio Management, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Data Analytics, and Competitive Intelligence teams to ensure alignment.
    • Identify appropriate research methodologies, data sources, vendors, and study designs to address strategic business questions and deliver high-quality insights.
    • Manage external research partners and vendors, building strong relationships and ensuring projects meet quality, scope, and timeline expectations.
    • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and synthesize diverse inputs into coherent strategic perspectives that support global decision-making.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of portfolio offerings, competitive positioning, relevant disease areas, and broader industry trends.
    • Establish and reinforce market research best practices while identifying emerging approaches that can improve the quality and impact of insights.
    • Track key business drivers and provide ongoing insight into market developments that may influence strategic priorities.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree required; an MBA is preferred, with 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or strategic consulting environments.
      • 6+ years of experience in strategic analytics, insights, market research, or a closely related function, with demonstrated impact on business and portfolio decisions.
      • Proven experience supporting pipeline and portfolio decision-making, ideally within oncology or targeted therapeutics.
      • Extensive expertise in primary market research and secondary analytics, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
      • Experience designing, conducting, or coordinating market research across regions outside the United States.
      • Strong understanding of research methodologies, analytical approaches, vendor management, and the ability to select appropriate solutions for complex business questions.
      • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and influence senior executives and key business partners through compelling, evidence-based recommendations.
      • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities, with a practical approach to navigating ambiguity.
      • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver against established timelines.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
      • Collaborative and adaptable working style, with the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving organization.
      • Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, flexibility, and comfort taking ownership in situations where priorities may not always be clearly defined.
      • Passion for improving outcomes for patients with cancer and contributing to innovative approaches in oncology.
      • Preferred: Experience with targeted oncology therapies or oncolytics.
      • Preferred: Experience working within a smaller, rapidly growing organization.

        • Base salary range of $201,000–$251,000 USD, with adjustments based on role, location, skills, experience, education, and market conditions.
