Defensive Security AI Scientist

Education

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a related highly technical discipline

Required Experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering
• Minimum 3 years directly embedded in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management

Open-Source AI & LLM Expertise

• Deep, hands-on expertise with the Hugging Face ecosystem (Transformers, Accelerate, PEFT)
• Proven track record of deploying, quantizing, and fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA) large open-source models (Llama, Mistral, Qwen) for production environments

Cybersecurity Expertise

• Comprehensive understanding of the vulnerability lifecycle, patch gap analysis, and exploit chaining
• Knowledge of industry frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, CISA KEV, EPSS, CVSS
• Understanding of adversarial thinking to build defensive models

Technical Skills

• Expert-level Python coding proficiency
• Deep expertise in PyTorch and leading deep learning frameworks
• Extensive experience with high-performance computing environments
• Proficiency in GPU workloads, CUDA optimization, and distributed infrastructure (Kubernetes, Ray, vLLM)

Data & Systems

• Strong capability in building high-throughput data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and processing massive datasets of threat intelligence, code repositories, and telemetry

Key Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to own complex problem spaces entirely
• Translate theoretical data science concepts into scalable, real-world defensive tools at an accelerated pace
