About the role
Accountabilities
- Implement, configure, and maintain data governance capabilities across Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog, AXON, and related platforms.
- Develop and maintain data governance standards, quality frameworks, policies, stewardship workflows, and data quality rules.
- Configure and manage data quality rules, profiling processes, monitoring mechanisms, and quality scorecards using Informatica CDQ and IDQ.
- Integrate data catalogs with databases, ERP and CRM platforms, cloud storage, Databricks, and other enterprise data sources through appropriate scanners and catalog sources.
- Support governance of Databricks Lakehouse environments by aligning Unity Catalog lineage, metadata, and classification with enterprise governance requirements.
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, technical teams, and business stakeholders to define data standards, quality expectations, and governance requirements.
- Establish and maintain end-to-end data lineage and traceability across critical data assets and processes.
- Support compliance with applicable data privacy, regulatory, and organizational governance requirements.
- Apply AI-enabled capabilities such as CLAIRE to accelerate data quality rule creation, metadata classification, and governance documentation.
- Monitor and improve data quality processes, identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen the reliability and usability of enterprise data.
- Contribute to governance platform modernization initiatives, process improvements, and the evolution of data management practices.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to promote adoption of data governance standards and quality practices.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data governance, data quality, metadata management, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) and Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) or Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Strong understanding of data catalogs, metadata management, data classification, data lineage, and data stewardship.
- Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and monitoring data quality rules, profiling processes, and quality scorecards.
- Knowledge of business glossaries, governance policies, data standards, stewardship models, and governance frameworks.
- Experience integrating governance and cataloging platforms with databases, cloud environments, business applications, or other enterprise data sources.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, regulatory requirements, and the importance of traceability and data controls.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data owners, technical teams, and other cross-functional groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data quality issues and translate business requirements into effective governance solutions.
- Relevant Informatica CDGC or IDMC certification is preferred.
- Experience with AXON and AXON-to-CDGC modernization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalog and Lakehouse governance is a plus.
- Exposure to Informatica CLAIRE and AI-enabled data governance capabilities is desirable.
- Familiarity with OneTrust, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Monte Carlo, or similar data governance and quality platforms is beneficial.
- Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK and GDPR is an advantage.
- Additional certifications in data governance, Databricks, or Azure are considered a plus.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a global, remote environment.
- Competitive compensation of $23–$28 USD per hour.
