Data Conversion Developer

About the Role

Grant Street Group is looking for data conversion developers with strong programming and database skills to write data conversion code that migrates clients to our TaxSys software. You'll use modern Perl and SQL on a Linux/MySQL platform and our proprietary parallel-computing framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Write production-quality data conversion code
• Debug and fix problems with client data during migration process
• Combine technical skills with domain knowledge to track down errors
• Work paired with a data analyst who provides specs and validates converted data
• Collaborate with agile team to ensure trouble-free client go-live

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience writing production-quality code (Perl experience preferred)
• At least 1 year of thorough knowledge of relational databases and SQL (MySQL experience a bonus)

Preferred Experience

• Linux
• BASH shell scripting
• Makefiles
• Docker or container management alternatives

Work Environment
