About the role
Accountabilities:
- Manage, analyze, and monitor large volumes of daily financial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring frameworks.
- Investigate and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 data quality issues, escalating more complex cases to specialized data teams when required.
- Use advanced SQL and Python for data analysis, scripting, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that translate complex datasets into actionable business insights.
- Apply statistical techniques to identify anomalies, monitor data accuracy, and strengthen data quality controls.
- Work with large-scale datasets exceeding 100TB and covering more than 100,000 global companies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand data requirements, communicate findings, and share analytical insights.
- Work with data originating from multiple and diverse sources while maintaining robust and scalable analytical processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in BCA, MCA, Engineering, or a related quantitative/technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and data monitoring concepts.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and query performance optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools and the ability to present data clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with large-scale or big-data environments and complex datasets.
- Working knowledge of statistics, particularly for data validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to different audiences.
- Experience working with data from multiple sources and identifying inconsistencies or quality issues.
- A CGPA of 8.0 or above is expected.
- Previous experience in Finance or FinTech is preferred, while direct exposure to financial datasets is an advantage.
