About the role
Accountabilities
- Design and develop instructional approaches, interactive courseware, and training solutions that meet established learning requirements.
- Analyze training and media requirements to determine appropriate instructional strategies and delivery methods.
- Develop learning objectives, assessment and test methods, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of task analyses, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional content, and evaluation approaches.
- Design and develop computer-based training, web-based training, and other technology-enabled learning solutions.
- Create flow diagrams, storyboards, lessons, and other instructional design materials across multiple delivery formats.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate the technical accuracy, relevance, and quality of training content.
- Support individual production activities, including test development, course updates, and workflow development using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Use CPM/LOM or other designated NETC authoring tools as required.
- Contribute to Navy training and curriculum development initiatives supporting the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant instructional design, instructional development, curriculum development, or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing Navy training or curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to leverage digital tools to support instructional development and production workflows.
- Experience developing courseware, computer-based training, web-based training, storyboards, assessments, and other instructional materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with subject matter experts and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex training requirements into effective learning solutions.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to successfully complete a qualifying background investigation to meet eligibility requirements for an IT Level II Common Access Card (CAC).
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while managing multiple instructional development priorities.
- Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $73,965–$92,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
