About the role
Accountabilities
- Email & SMS Campaign Production: Build and implement email and SMS campaigns using established content, strategies, and production guidelines.
- Campaign Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed QA across devices and email service providers, checking formatting, functionality, links, content, and overall campaign accuracy.
- Testing & Optimization: Support subject-line scoring, campaign testing, deliverability reviews, and engagement optimization based on historical performance and available insights.
- Campaign Coordination: Send test communications to stakeholders, gather feedback and approvals, track revisions, and ensure campaigns are fully reviewed before launch.
- Scheduling & Monitoring: Schedule email and SMS deployments and monitor sends to confirm successful delivery.
- Performance Reporting: Track fundraising and engagement metrics, identify key takeaways, and contribute insights to campaign recaps and team discussions.
- Website Production: Publish content through a CMS, including online forms, articles, blog posts, press releases, and general webpage updates.
- Web QA & Functionality: Review website content for accuracy and functionality, including testing online forms to ensure submissions are properly captured and mapped to the CRM.
- Digital Content Maintenance: Assist with evergreen website updates, editorial calendars, production schedules, and web requests.
- Basic Design & Development: Perform image cropping and basic photo editing and make HTML/CSS source-code updates when needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in campaign planning, fundraising and engagement strategy, brainstorming, and testing initiatives across teams.
- Platform & Process Support: Assist with managing online platforms, functionality, member engagement initiatives, and established content review workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve digital functionality, content performance, workflows, and overall member engagement.
- Travel: Attend an annual in-person team meeting and travel to New York City as needed.
- Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is also required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in email and web production or a closely related digital marketing role.
- Email & SMS Marketing: Hands-on experience building email and SMS campaigns within marketing platforms; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
- Web Technologies: Ability to work with HTML and CSS.
- CMS Experience: Experience working with a content management system; Drupal experience is preferred.
- Image Editing: Experience with basic image cropping and editing using Photoshop or comparable software.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask thoughtful questions to uncover needs and requirements.
- Organization: Highly organized and capable of planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Independence: Comfortable taking ownership of projects and executing responsibilities independently while knowing when to seek input.
- Adaptability: Willingness to embrace new tools, processes, responsibilities, and ways of working.
- Collaboration: Strong team orientation and the ability to work effectively across departments in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Thorough and quality-focused, particularly when reviewing digital content, campaign functionality, links, forms, and technical details.

- Language: Professional fluency in English.
- Remote position open to eligible candidates based in the United States, with standard East Coast business hours expected.
- Competitive hourly compensation: Target hiring ranges vary by location:
- Zone 1: $24.93–$26.12/hour
- Zone 2: $27.48–$28.79/hour
- Zone 3: $30.21–$31.65/hour
- Remote work: Fully remote position available to eligible candidates across the United States.
