About the role
Position Overview
Home Share is a residential option for adults with developmental disabilities in which the individual lives in your home. As their care provider you deliver ongoing, individualized support. This option provides an ideal balance of support and independence. For some, this is a step towards greater independence, while for others it is a lifelong living arrangement.
Contractual Arrangement
The Home Share Provider will enter a contractual agreement with JHSOK and will receive rent and additional support funding linked to the individual served, as determined by CLBC. In some situations, the home sharing arrangement is characterized as a more independent relationship. Members of the home may generally go their own ways and come together at specific times or for specific purposes.

Our goal is to facilitate community inclusion by supporting our home share providers who help the individual to achieve greater autonomy and an enduring positive relationship.
Requirements
- Commitment to the values and principles of CLBC and JHSOK
- Understanding of complex needs, such as mental health or substance use
