About the role

Accountabilities:

    • Analyze sold case and underwriting documents to create new case and amendment certificates and policies for complex group life and disability cases, while maintaining issue documents for standard cases and state-specific statutory policies.
    • Review prior carrier certificates and policies, compare them with current contracts, identify differences, and help resolve gaps within applicable filing areas.
    • Provide contract administration support to internal teams and assist with certificate and policy transactions to maintain high customer service standards.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for contract automation initiatives, monitoring processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement.
    • Access and analyze data from multiple systems to support decision-making and effectively process sold case and underwriting information.
    • Ensure contracts and related documentation comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
    • Apply detailed knowledge of sold case and underwriting documentation to provide high-quality internal and external service and support less experienced colleagues when appropriate.
    • Collaborate with implementation teams to manage statutory business and coordinate application and new business setup activities.
    • Monitor statutory due dates and filing requirements, developing reports to track programs, deadlines, and compliance with established timelines.
    • Handle complex questions and service requests from customers, distributors, brokers, and colleagues by applying technical knowledge of contracts, certificates, and policies.
    • Maintain Statements of Process for fulfillment activities, including process documentation, forms, and training materials in SharePoint.
    • Identify and develop processes that incorporate statutory fulfillment into smart drafting and automation initiatives.
    • Perform additional duties and projects as required.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • At least 5 years of product-related experience.
      • Experience in group insurance and contract development analysis is preferred, particularly 3 or more years in a related environment.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate options and resolve complex issues thoughtfully.
      • Ability to independently review exceptions, make non-routine decisions, and exercise sound judgment when formal guidelines are not available.
      • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads, manage deadlines, coordinate assignments, and work independently.
      • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Strong attention to timeliness, productivity, quality, accuracy, and organizational standards.
      • Ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement and contribute practical recommendations.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems.
      • Ability to interpret technical, contractual, and regulatory information and apply it accurately to business processes.
      • Strong discretion, adaptability, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
      • Benefits:
