Contract Data Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer to develop and implement a medallion architecture using dbt and Microsoft Fabric. The role involves building robust data ingestion pipelines and supporting self-serve data analytics. The successful candidate will play a critical role in establishing data governance, lineage, documentation, and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build medallion architecture in dbt and Microsoft Fabric to enhance data analytics capabilities.
• Create and maintain data ingestion pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
• Establish data governance protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Implement data lineage and documentation to facilitate data traceability and transparency.
• Develop and enforce data quality checks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of data assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with dbt, SQL, PySpark, and Python.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience in building data architectures, specifically medallion architectures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platform technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
