Compliance Rule Tuning Specialist – Transaction Monitoring

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and optimize SQL-based transaction monitoring rules to detect suspicious or high-risk activities
• Design and build data tables and components that support robust rule frameworks, ensuring scalability and clarity
• Analyze alerts generated by rules to tune thresholds, reduce false positives, and maximize detection accuracy
• Collaborate with MLROs, compliance officers, and risk teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective, feasible monitoring rules
• Provide constructive feedback and persuasively engage senior stakeholders when rules or concepts proposed by MLROs are impractical or counterproductive
• Document rule logic, data sources, and tuning methodologies clearly to ensure audit readiness and facilitate team understanding
• Continuously monitor rule performance and effectiveness
