About the People Team

The People team helps Affirmers cultivate a high-performing, inclusive organization. We focus on three core areas: attracting talent aligned to our mission, enabling growth through people and team development, and retaining employees through thoughtful experiences and rewards. We develop Affirm's people programs and systems to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytically sound Compensation Lead to own the end-to-end management of our compensation systems. You will be responsible for ensuring systems like Radford (survey reporting) and Pave (cycle management) are set up to support Affirm's policies, procedures, and employees. In this role you will play a key role in the day to day compensation operations and ensuring our programs are effective and competitive.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of our semiannual compensation processes
  • Develop and participate in all components of our annual compensation studies to evaluate Affirm's competitive market positioning, including: auditing roles (responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements), job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements, leading our benchmarking survey submission/review process, and evaluating/recommending updates to our cash and equity compensation structures/ranges
  • Conduct special projects for ad hoc compensation analyses across a variety of areas, including incentive compensation, equity programs, and pay equity analyses
  • Own the pay reporting process for the various geographies Affirm supports
  • Assist with compensation training and communications

What We Look For

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation or people analytics
  • Experience with compensation management systems (with a strong preference towards Pave)
  • Passion for working with data and an analytical mindset to turn raw data into actionable insights using various tools (Excel / Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, Claude Code, etc.)
  • Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong team orientation with collaborative style; ability to work effectively across internal teams, communicating clearly and comprehensively to meet project deadlines
  • Leads with strong judgment and integrity; able to maturely handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Highly effective verbal and written communications skills; ability to distill complex concepts/information to employees and Senior Leaders in a digestible manner
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high, and potentially shifting, priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service background
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to establish and maintain compliance of all plans and programs
