About the role
Accountabilities
- Support the implementation and administration of CRA and Fair Lending programs, helping ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal requirements.
- Collect, monitor, validate, and report CRA-related data, including commercial loan applications and other regulatory information.
- Oversee the management, validation, and submission of Community Development, HMDA, and CRA Small Business loan application data to regulatory authorities.
- Analyze CRA, HMDA, and Community Development data to produce performance reports and support lending assessments using relevant CRA software.
- Use analytical tools to evaluate Fair Lending performance, identify trends, and detect potential disparities associated with protected characteristics, geography, or income levels.
- Review community development loans, investments, grants, and services to determine eligibility under CRA requirements.
- Maintain strong data quality controls and verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation used for CRA reporting and examinations.
- Collaborate with business lines and operational teams to resolve data issues and ensure CRA-eligible activities are properly documented.
- Participate in CRA compliance self-evaluations and assist business units in monitoring CRA performance, including assessments related to branch openings and closures.
- Coordinate community service events from planning through completion and assist with regulatory examination preparation.
- Support special projects and other compliance initiatives as assigned by CRA and Fair Lending leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and communicate significant amounts of information accurately.
- Knowledge or professional experience in the CRA, Fair Lending, banking, or broader financial services environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act and experience with CRA data management or compliance is preferred.
- General knowledge of banking products, services, and operations is required; familiarity with residential lending is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based research and navigation.
- Excellent organizational and project-tracking skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines, and reporting requirements simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and operational teams.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect compliance activities with responsible, profitable service to low- and moderate-income customers and communities.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple projects and maintaining consistent follow-through.
