About the Role
Locked On is seeking a College Channel Manager to oversee and grow our college sports coverage across the SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12. This role is the day-to-day link between our executive team and our roster of college hosts — responsible for the quality, consistency, and performance of every feed under your watch. You’ll monitor and critique daily episodes, coach and develop talent, and serve as the primary point of contact for hosts navigating the day-to-day of producing a daily show.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily podcast feeds for Locked On shows across the SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12 conferences.
- Monitor episodes for quality, consistency, and adherence to network standards; critique and provide actionable feedback on content, format, and delivery.
- Serve as the primary communication link between the executive team and hosts, ensuring network priorities, updates, and expectations are clearly relayed.
- Coach and develop talent — helping hosts sharpen their on-air presence, analysis, and audience engagement over time.
- Provide ongoing guidance to hosts on content strategy, episode structure, and best practices for growing their show.
- Identify underperforming feeds or hosts and develop improvement plans in partnership with leadership.
- Support onboarding of new hosts within your conferences, including training on show expectations and network tools.
- Track and report on channel performance, flagging trends, opportunities, and concerns to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, sales, and operations teams to support network-wide initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of and passion for college athletics, particularly within the SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12.
- Experience in podcasting, broadcasting, sports media, or talent management preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver constructive feedback effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shows and personalities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setting while staying closely aligned with executive leadership.
