The primary location for this position is remote, though candidates must be living in Pacific Time Zone (Washington/California preferred). The expected schedule requirements are Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM PST and occasional shifts of 9 AM – 6 PM PST may be required to serve families needing later appointments times. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred for this role. Quarterly travel may be required for regional team meetings and in-person collaboration.
What You'll Do
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Pediatric Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services for pediatric patients with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions. The Pediatric Dietitian will assess the nutritional needs of patients, develop and implement nutritional care plans, and communicate information to those in need in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of the patients served.
In this role you will:
- Provide age-appropriate diet education to support the nutritional care plan and assess the learning needs and readiness to learn for all patients and families
- Analyze growth trends, including z-scores, to prevent malnutrition, failure to thrive, growth faltering, and to identify excessive weight gain
