Client Virtualization Lead

Accountabilities:

• • Lead the architecture, design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of client virtualization technologies, with a primary focus on Citrix.
  • Define and execute strategic roadmaps for client virtualization services, aligning technology decisions with evolving business requirements.
  • Lead L2 and L3 support activities in collaboration with managed service providers and act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of virtualization environments, from deployment and provisioning through upgrades, transformation, migration, and decommissioning.
  • Manage application and desktop provisioning across supported virtualization platforms and technologies.
  • Establish strong operational practices, prioritizing work effectively and maintaining high standards across support and engineering teams.
  • Facilitate Scrum processes, coordinate team activities, and promote effective collaboration across technical stakeholders.
  • Lead incident and problem management activities using IT service management and event-management practices.
  • Monitor system health, performance, security, and user experience, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure vulnerabilities are identified, prioritized, and remediated within established SLA timelines.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs, architecture diagrams, RACIs, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Deliver actionable service metrics and insights to support operational decisions and communicate project progress and outcomes to senior leadership.

  Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience implementing, managing, and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Services (CVAD).
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365.
  • Proven experience supporting transformation and migration initiatives driven by changing business requirements.
  • Strong expertise in Citrix Cloud and related virtualization technologies and ecosystems.
  • Experience with Windows 365, Azure, AWS, NetScaler, thin clients, and associated infrastructure is highly valuable.
  • Experience leading teams composed of managed service providers, contractors, or full-time employees is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical projects and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, employee experience, system health, and service quality.
  • Experience delivering meaningful and actionable service metrics.
  • Familiarity with server support, desktop support, and telecommunications environments is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM, incident management, problem management, vulnerability management, and operational governance.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic architecture responsibilities with operational execution in a complex enterprise environment.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams, managed service providers, and senior business stakeholders.
