About the role
Accountabilities:
- Provide business systems analysis support across a defined business or process area, helping stakeholders translate objectives and challenges into actionable solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and process owners to understand priorities, operational requirements, existing workflows, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct requirements analysis through stakeholder interviews, document and artifact reviews, business process analysis, task and workflow analysis, and other discovery techniques.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including business requirements, system requirements, process flows, use cases, and workflow descriptions.
- Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Support the development of business cases for system enhancements and new processes, including feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
- Contribute to initiative planning, solution design, feasibility assessments, and the evaluation of potential impacts on existing systems and business processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external users to understand business concerns and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with business and IT teams to facilitate effective communication, requirements gathering, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Support end-user training and help develop materials and processes that enable successful adoption of new systems and workflows.
- Respond to end-user process questions and partner with IT teams to investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate appropriate corrections.
- Use data and analytical insights to support recommendations, prioritize improvements, and inform business and technology decisions.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, process improvement, systems implementation, or a related discipline.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, information systems, technology, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL querying and databases, with the ability to work with data to investigate business questions and support analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Microsoft Teams, and other productivity and collaboration tools.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping, workflow analysis, use cases, and process documentation.
- Ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and present ideas, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across business and IT teams.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow initiatives through to completion.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented approach to business analysis and process improvement.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while remaining highly collaborative and responsive to stakeholders.
