Business Development & Partnerships Executive (South Korea)
About the role
About Pulse Labs
Pulse Labs is a global UX research company backed by industry leaders such as Google and Amazon. We help the world's leading technology companies build better products by connecting them with real users and businesses to gather valuable insights.
About the Role
As our Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you'll own the entire business journey - from identifying the right businesses to ensuring they successfully complete our research programs. You'll identify and engage small and medium-sized businesses across South Korea, build relationships with decision-makers, guide them through onboarding, and support them throughout the program until successful completion. This is a hands-on role with plenty of autonomy.
What You'll Do
- Find Great Businesses - Build a pipeline of qualified small and medium-sized businesses (typically fewer than 300 employees) across South Korea. Identify and connect with founders, business owners, executives, and key decision-makers. Build relationships through outbound outreach, referrals, professional communities, networking events, LinkedIn, email, phone calls, and in-person meetings where appropriate. Represent Pulse Labs at relevant industry events, startup communities, and networking opportunities. Clearly communicate the value of participating in Pulse Labs' research and data programs.
- Build Partnerships - Understand each business's needs and determine whether they're a good fit for our programs. Answer questions, address concerns, and guide businesses through the decision-making process. Build trusted relationships that encourage both successful participation and future collaboration.
- Manage the Entire Journey - Own each business relationship from the first conversation through successful program completion. Guide businesses through onboarding, participation requirements, and program expectations. Coordinate scheduling, documentation, and communications with internal teams. Support participating businesses throughout the program, ensuring they complete all required activities successfully and on time. Deliver a smooth, professional experience from start to finish.
- Keep Things Organized - Maintain an accurate pipeline using CRM tools. Track outreach, onboarding progress, program participation, and completed businesses. Collaborate closely with our global research and operations teams. Share regular updates on pipeline health, progress, and opportunities.
What Success Looks Like
During this four-month contract, you'll build a strong pipeline of qualified businesses across South Korea, successfully onboard and support approximately 100 businesses through program completion, build lasting relationships with founders, business owners, and decision-makers across multiple industries, and help establish Pulse Labs as a trusted research partner within South Korea's business community.
Nice to Have
- An existing network within South Korea's startup, SMB, or business community.
