Business Development Manager
About the role
The Role
We're hiring a Business Development Manager to expand Cadence's capacity to evaluate, pursue, and land high-value growth opportunities across the healthcare landscape. You'll own active relationships and accounts (e.g., medical groups, payers), build the evaluation frameworks needed to systematize opportunity assessment, develop business cases for new deals, and present recommendations directly to executive leadership. This role sits at the center of Cadence's commercial strategy, working across Product, Legal, Operations, and Care Delivery to move deals from first conversation to signed agreement to live execution.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities, using a systematic framework that pairs industry knowledge and regulatory context to evaluate fit and sequence pursuit.
- Lead end-to-end partnership development - outreach, diligence, business case creation, contracting, and launch - across Cadence's health system and enterprise growth landscape.
- Deliver on existing partner contracts and commitments, ensuring mission-critical KPIs are met and relationships are structured for long-term clinical and commercial success.
- Partner with Product, Care Delivery, Legal, Sales, and Implementations to move deals from signed agreement to live operations without losing momentum or alignment.
- Build repeatable BD processes and systems - from opportunity frameworks to account management infrastructure - that allow the function to scale beyond any single deal.
- Use AI tools to conduct market research and develop compelling partnership and account management presentations for C-level audiences at health systems and enterprise partners.
These responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by personnel assigned to this job classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of job duties performed by personnel in this classification. Other job related duties may be assigned by management.
Who You Are
- A strategist who thrives in rooms where the stakes are high, the audience is skeptical, and the answer isn't obvious yet.
- Equally comfortable running existing accounts and originating new ones - you don't wait for a process to exist before you get work done, and you build one as you go.
- Rigorous in your financial thinking - you model the economics of a deal, stress-test the assumptions, and communicate the business case clearly to executives who will push back.
- Credible with senior external stakeholders - payer executives, health system leaders, and C-suite audience.
