About the role
Accountabilities:
- Own new-logo business development for Generative AI, data, AI, engineering, and application services across the U.S. market.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Deliver quarterly revenue against an ambitious annual target of approximately $5M–$10M USD, while accurately forecasting opportunities and expected closures.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of enterprise prospects by leveraging existing relationships, industry networks, alliances, events, trade shows, and targeted outreach.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, engineering leaders, functional heads, and directors.
- Clearly articulate the business value of complex Generative AI and technology services, aligning solutions with customer priorities, business challenges, and transformation objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional sales efforts and collaborate with account managers, business development teams, and other business units to identify and pursue opportunities.
- Partner with strategic alliance organizations and their field teams to generate leads, strengthen relationships, and expand market reach.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell Generative AI and related services into existing accounts as well as develop entirely new customer relationships.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely customer, prospect, and opportunity information throughout the sales process.
- Represent the business at relevant industry events, customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen market presence and generate qualified opportunities.
- Develop and execute a multipoint channel and lead-generation strategy aligned with revenue objectives.
- Set appropriate customer expectations around proposed services, capabilities, delivery models, and business outcomes.
- Leverage internal BDM and sales networks to maximize revenue opportunities and achieve business-unit targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is preferred.
- Approximately 15 years of experience selling enterprise software solutions and technology services, ideally within IT services or digital transformation environments.
- Proven experience selling AI services, with strong knowledge of Generative AI, data, engineering, applications, and related technology solutions.
- Demonstrated success acquiring new enterprise customer logos and consistently delivering against demanding sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. market, including an established professional network and relevant executive-level relationships across target industries.
- Proven ability to manage the entire business development lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying prospects through negotiation and contract closure.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to engage confidently with C-suite technology and business leaders.
- Excellent ability to understand, articulate, and position the value proposition of complex technical solutions and services in business terms.
- Strong sales strategy skills, with a demonstrated record of developing and executing successful go-to-market and account acquisition strategies.
- Analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical, commercial, business, and legal considerations into practical action plans.
- Knowledge of market trends, technology developments, industry participants, and emerging business models across at least one to three relevant industry verticals.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Self-directed and commercially driven, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.
