About the role
Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support BI analysts and account team resources while establishing repeatable standards, best practices, and delivery processes for analytics initiatives.
- Act as a senior analytics partner to clients and stakeholders, managing relationships, expectations, priorities, and communication while ensuring requests align with platform capabilities and long-term business value.
- Lead BI platform initiatives, dashboard prototypes, proofs of concept, semantic model enhancements, and product improvements in partnership with development and technology teams.
- Develop and maintain client analytics roadmaps covering scope, timelines, priorities, and investment requirements, balancing immediate reporting needs with scalable long-term solutions.
- Oversee data assessments, data mapping, data modeling, data dictionaries, report inventories, intake processes, backlogs, and development workflows across client-specific and platform-level initiatives.
- Partner with client technology teams to define technical requirements and align analytics solutions with enterprise data platforms, including modern cloud-based environments such as Databricks.
- Provide oversight of Power BI model design, performance optimization, metric standardization, reporting quality, and the development of governed self-service analytics capabilities.
- Analyze client portfolios to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas where deeper analytical insight can improve business outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in data automation, standardization, quality, and workflow efficiency while maintaining clear technical and process documentation.
- Evaluate and apply emerging analytics and AI capabilities to enhance the delivery of insights, automate workflows, and strengthen the overall BI platform.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex analytics, data, and client delivery challenges, applying sound judgment and communicating recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven experience leading or managing analytics, business intelligence, or data teams, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience, including the ability to build trusted relationships across clients, account teams, technology partners, and senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence, data visualization, data mapping, data modeling, and analytics solution design.
- Strong proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling and semantic layer design, with the ability to oversee dashboard development and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting, along with experience using ETL or data preparation tools such as Alteryx.
- Experience with Databricks or other modern data platforms, with an interest in applying emerging AI and analytics technologies to business intelligence.
- Experience contributing to BI products, analytics platforms, governed reporting environments, or enterprise-scale data initiatives is highly desirable.
- Exposure to commercial real estate, portfolio-level data, or similar complex business datasets is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and relationship-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and client-facing environments.
- Competitive annual salary: $110,500–$130,000, with final compensation determined by factors including location, experience, qualifications, and other eligibility considerations.
