About the role
Accountabilities
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure to support high availability, scalability, performance, and reliable enterprise application operations.
- Configure and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, networking components, Azure Container Registries, and Key Vault integrations.
- Support the deployment, operation, and troubleshooting of DevSecOps platforms and tools, including GitHub Advanced Security, CodeQL, Dependabot, SBOM capabilities, GitHub Workflows, and development environments.
- Maintain and operate security tooling such as Trellix, Invicti, and Anchore while supporting compliance with applicable DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including policy enforcement, domain joins, general troubleshooting, and resolution of SCCM-related issues.
- Manage Linux environments, including RHEL and Ubuntu systems, supporting current and future server and appliance deployments.
- Develop automation using Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, and other Infrastructure-as-Code or configuration management technologies.
- Review Azure Monitor analytics, portal logs, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to identify, investigate, and remediate infrastructure and subscription issues.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Azure Container Registries, including image management and deployment activities.
- Implement and maintain automated monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility capabilities.
- Collaborate with application development and engineering teams to integrate applications and services, including SQL-based integrations, into Azure environments.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including RBAC, identity management, network security, Azure security policies, and compliance controls aligned with DoD standards.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen system reliability.
- Own and resolve helpdesk tickets and incidents through the designated ticketing platform, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and strong user support.
- Document operational procedures, system configurations, troubleshooting processes, ticket resolutions, and technical knowledge for ongoing support and audit requirements.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and coordination with project teams to align operational work with delivery objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting highly available development, test, and production environments, with a focus on uptime, performance, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- At least 2 years of experience with enterprise cloud architecture, design, and implementation involving multiple initiatives, dependencies, and demanding delivery timelines.
- Active Secret security clearance and a qualifying security certification such as CompTIA Security+ or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
- One or more intermediate or advanced Azure or GitHub certifications.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, Azure Container Registries, and Key Vault.
- Strong experience with DevSecOps tooling, CI/CD operations, GitHub Advanced Security, CodeQL, Dependabot, SBOM, GitHub Workflows, and related automation technologies.
- Experience with automated security and compliance tools such as Trellix, Invicti, and Anchore.
- Proficiency administering Windows Server environments, including SCCM troubleshooting and client-side domain joins.
- Proficiency administering Linux environments, particularly RHEL and Ubuntu.
- Strong Azure CLI and PowerShell scripting capabilities for automation and cloud resource management.
- Experience with Docker and Azure Container Registries for container and image management.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, and other Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, network security, NIST 800-53, DoD STIGs, and related compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL integration in Azure environments and cloud-native CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting.
- Experience working within enterprise service desk environments and resolving operational incidents under pressure.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams, stakeholders, vendors, and industry partners in multi-vendor environments.
- Experience delivering and maintaining solutions using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Strong project management, prioritization, dependency management, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical processes and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Annual salary range of $150,000–$160,000 USD.
