About the role
Accountabilities
- Support DevOps processes across source control, build, deployment, and release workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and related platforms.
- Assist with Microsoft Azure environments and contribute to the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based solutions.
- Support automated and manual build and deployment processes using technologies such as TFS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy.
- Develop and maintain scripts, particularly with PowerShell, to automate operational and deployment activities.
- Work with Docker and/or Kubernetes to support containerized applications and deployment environments.
- Assist with Windows Server administration, patching, Active Directory, and other foundational infrastructure activities.
- Troubleshoot DevOps and infrastructure issues logically and efficiently, escalating complex problems when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and delivery processes through automation and better tooling.
- Use modern AI command-line tools, including Claude Code, OpenCode, or Codex, to support development and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams while maintaining clear documentation and communication.
- 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and software delivery lifecycles.
- Experience or working knowledge of version control systems such as Azure DevOps, Git, or GitHub.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and fundamental cloud concepts.
- Basic understanding of build technologies such as TFS, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Basic understanding of deployment technologies such as TFS, Azure DevOps, or Octopus Deploy.
- Programming or scripting experience, particularly with PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience or foundational knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Basic domain administration skills, including Windows Servers, patching, and Active Directory.
- Experience working with AI CLI tools such as Claude Code, OpenCode, or Codex.
- Strong logical and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with packaging tools such as InstallShield, NuGet, or npm is a plus.
- Experience with SQL Server Management, including queries, deployments, permissions, or DACPACs, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of mobile application deployments through Google Play or the Apple App Store is a plus.
- Understanding of Linux environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with AI models, model weights, and routing concepts is an advantage.
