The Asset Engineer III/Senior/Expert is responsible for short and long-term natural gas and water systems planning, hydraulic modeling, and infrastructure scoping to support development offtake, third-party offtake, and Midstream growth opportunities. The role evaluates system capacity across gathering, transmission, and storage assets, develops capital expansion and optimization plans, and provides technical support for asset development, asset management, and growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform hydraulic modeling of assigned gas and water pipeline systems using Synergi Gas and Synergi Water.
- Analyze drilling schedules, development scenarios, and third-party activity to evaluate system impacts and infrastructure needs.
- Scope and conceptually design pipeline, compression, dehydration, water handling, and interconnect projects.
- Assess and validate capacity across gathering systems, regulated transmission pipelines, and storage networks.
- Develop and maintain long-range (5+ year) capital and asset development plans based on consolidated production forecasts.
- Identify system optimization opportunities to improve capital efficiency, reduce operating pressures, and align infrastructure timing with production needs.
- Prepare and communicate technical documentation outlining operating pressures, system capacities, constraints, and recommended solutions.
- Support commercial, growth, and economic evaluations by providing hydraulic modeling, infrastructure scoping, and technical inputs in collaboration with finance and growth teams.
